Health and Safety OfficerLocation: South Wales (Office and Field Based)Rate: £17.54 per hourHours: 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayContract: Fixed-Term Contract until 31st March 2027We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join a well-established organisation in South Wales on a fixed-term contract through to March 2027.This is a varied role combining office and site-based activities, supporting operational teams working in field environments involving power tools, heavy machinery, excavation works and other high-risk activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring health, safety and wellbeing standards are maintained, monitored and continuously improved across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and update health and safety policies, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with current legislation.Undertake reviews of existing risk assessments and method statements, ensuring they remain effective and fit for purpose.Monitor and supervise work activities to ensure safe working practices are being followed.Provide guidance and support to managers and operational teams on health and safety matters.Conduct site visits and inspections across various field-based locations.Identify opportunities to improve health, safety and wellbeing practices and documentation.Support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions where required.Work closely with internal stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety ..... full job details .....
