      <description>Location: Sheffield | Salary: &amp;pound;31000 - &amp;pound;35000/annum | Type: Permanent | Shift Pattern:  15-shift rotation (12-hour days and nights)     Heat Treatment Operator   15 shift pattern    40 hours average    This is a proper hands on role in a heavy engineering environment, working with heat treatment, crane handling, FLTs, saws and classified rotating shaft components.  You''ll be working in the Engineered Products team, helping heat treat specialist alloy components, cut material to length, take samples and support general movement of product through the department. The role suits someone who is confident around machinery, follows instructions properly and takes safety seriously.   What you''ll be doing:    Operating overhead cranes and FLTs to move a range of heavy products  Working to technical heat treatment instructions  Programming furnace control systems  Operating Brinell testing equipment  Assisting with large and small saws  Updating bookings on the SFDC system  Carrying out daily compliance checks  Supporting dispatch and keeping the area organised   The right person will have experience in a manufacturing, engineering, steel, forge, foundry or heavy industrial setting.
