They are currently seeking aandnbsp;dedicated and skilledandnbsp;Teaching Assistant with experience or qualifications in supporting students withandnbsp;hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teaching staff toandnbsp;design and deliver engaging activitiesandnbsp;tailored to individual needs.
- Implement aandnbsp;holistic support strategyandnbsp;to help students achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the creation and execution ofandnbsp;Individual Education Plans (IEPs),andnbsp;Risk Assessments, andandnbsp;Therapy Care Programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and external professionals to ensureandnbsp;comprehensive support.
- Buildandnbsp;positive therapeutic relationshipsandnbsp;with students and respond to their unique needs.
- Use aandnbsp;radio aid systemandnbsp;to maintain effective communication with the student.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Prior experience working with children who areandnbsp;hearing impaired, or a strong desire to do so.
- Solid understanding ofandnbsp;Special Educational Needs (SEN)andnbsp;and a passion forandnbsp;inclusive education.
- Availability to commit toandnbsp;regular working days, either full-time or part-time.
- Training inandnbsp;Makaton.
- Qualification such asandnbsp;NVQ in Childcare,andnbsp;Education, orandnbsp;Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
- Familiarity withandnbsp;phonics instruction, especially for students withandnbsp;cochlear implants.
- Proven ability to fosterandnbsp;independenceandnbsp;and supportandnbsp;social-emotional development.
- Possession of a validandnbsp;DBS certificateandnbsp;registered on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
