We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants (HCA) to join our temp team for ad hoc shifts at various care homes in and around the Taunton area.
You will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and always cared for.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Assist residents with mobility and use of mobility aids
- Support with mealtimes, hydration, and nutritional needs
- Build positive, trusting relationships with residents and families
- Document care activities accurately in line with care plans
- Engage residents in activities that promote well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Report any concerns to senior care staff or nurses
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For
- A caring, patient, and compassionate nature
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and able to work flexible shifts
- Previous experience in a care home is beneficial
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health andamp; Social Care is an advantage
- Adult DBS
- Moving andamp; Handling Certificate
- Oliver McGowan Training Certificate
- Safeguarding Adults andamp; Children Training Certificate
- Right to work in the UK
Hourly rates of pay are dependent on days worked. Enhancements are paid for weekend work as well as on Bank Holidays
