About the Home
Avon Search is currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant on behalf of a well-established luxury retirement home in Addlestone, Surrey.
Originally opened in 1983, the home was once a substantial country house and has since been sympathetically extended and converted to provide a high-quality, comfortable residential setting.
With just 21 residents, the home offers a genuinely personal and family-like atmosphere where residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion. The home has a well-established, friendly atmosphere, making it an excellent place to join a supportive and close-knit team.
The home features 21 beautifully furnished bedrooms, many with en-suite facilities, along with welcoming communal areas and a vibrant sensory garden filled with colour and wildlife.
The Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their day-to-day care and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing
- Building positive and meaningful relationships with residents
- Supporting residents with meals, hydration and mobility
- Assisting with activities and social engagement
- Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment
- Recording care provided accurately
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver high standards of person-centred care

The successful candidate will be:

- A confident communicator with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
- Respectful of residents'' dignity, privacy and independence
- Previous care experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
