Our client is recruiting qualified Healthcare Assistants for full-time and part-time opportunities within elderly services healthcare facilities in Sligo.

You will support patients and service users with personal care and daily activities while working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role requires a professional, compassionate and person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
• Support patient dignity, privacy, independence and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and healthcare professionals
• Follow care plans, health & safety and infection prevention procedures
• Assist with meals in line with HACCP requirements
• Support the safe movement of patients, equipment and supplies
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Complete mandatory training as required

Requirements

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (all 8 modules) or equivalent recognised qualification
• Minimum 150 hours'' relevant healthcare/care experience
• Current Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Food Safety/HACCP and CPI/PMAV training, where applicable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays
• Required Garda vetting/background checks
• International Police Clearance may be required where applicable
