Health Visitor

Work with York are working with our local authority client to find Health Visitors for work in the York area, within the Healthy Child Service team. The role will involve working within the community and being responsible for delivering a holistic health visiting service to children, young people and their families. Job details A variety of hours are available on a temporary basis. Immediate start until February 2027. The rate of pay is £22.94 per hour. Skills required Registered Nurse or Midwife on Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register. Hold Part 3 NMC registration (Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Health Visitor). Be up to date with all relevant training. Knowledge and understanding of Information Governance, professional record-keeping requirements, confidentiality and consent. Can demonstrate up-to-date knowledge, skills and competencies within the multi-agency safeguarding arena. Must have a current, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business purposes. Have an enhanced children''s DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undertake a new one. Experience required Be able to work to tight timescales and deal with conflicting demands and priorities, taking appropriate action to remedy issues as they arise. The ability to follow policies and procedures, produce risk assessments and reports, and provide handovers. A flexible and compassionate approach, along with respect for an individual''s needs.
