Health & Safety Manager (Logistics)

Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client – a well-established organisation with their search for a Health and Safety Advisor / Manager to join their busy facility in Uxbridge.Responsibilities

The role will involve working in partnership with Senior Management and Specialist Managers within the team, provide support and drive high standards on site regarding Health and SafetyEnsuring that all staff and management are regularly kept informed of all Health and Safety matters and also communicating all HandS requirements from the management team to all operational staff on site when requiredProvide guidance and advice on adherence to Health and Safety policies, legislation, industry standardsSupport Management in the planning, implementation and review of H and S requirements.Create regular Health and Safety reports on site and presenting these to senior Management on siteAdvise on all health and safety competency and also any training requirements within the team and ensuring the implementation of this training on siteBeing the point of contact and responsible for the investigation of accidents and incidentsMake sure that all compliance / reporting is carried out in according with set company protocol and standardsSupport the management in development of a Health and Safety conscious cultural on siteTo develop strategies in site to continue develop this culture and ensuring high HandS standards are always metBe the point of contact between all operational staff and Management for all HandS MattersThe Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar Health and Safety Role (Can be either Management or Advisor level)Possess the appropriate Health and Safety Qualifications including the NEBOSH CertificateProven ability to create reports and present these to all levels of a businessExcellent understanding of EHS processes, standards and improvement techniquesGood leadership, coaching and influencing skills at all levels would be a distinct advantageExcellent communication skills with senior Management and director ..... full job details .....
