This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver practical, tailored solutions that drive compliance, mitigate risk, and foster positive safety cultures.The RoleAs a Health and Safety Consultant, you''ll work closely with clients to provide expert advice and hands-on support. You’ll conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, and help develop and implement bespoke Health and Safety management systems. While the role currently has no direct reports, there is potential for future progression into a leadership position.Role Overview:Deliver expert advice aligned with legislation and best practicesCarry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsDevelop and implement tailored Health and Safety management systems (e.g. HSG65, ISO 45001)Support clients in embedding safe working practices and positive safety culturesIdentify, assess, and mitigate workplace risksMaintain audit-ready records of assessments and inspectionsRecommend and support implementation of corrective actionsContribute to team performance through feedback, collaboration, and supporting wellbeingDrive process improvements and support cost-effective service deliveryNEBOSH Diploma or equivalentChartered Member of IOSH (or working towards)Proven consultancy experience in Health and SafetyStrong working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislationWillingness to travel throughout the UKExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in construction and/or commercial sectors (desirable)Additional Health and Safety qualifications or specialisms (desirable)Experience managing or mentoring team membersProactive, adaptable, and solutions-focusedStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsSkilled in balancing multiple prioritiesCommitted to personal development and continuous improvementThis role involves travel to client sites - UK wideDevelopment and progression to Team ManagerSeniority level
