This role is an opportunity to work on a major upgrade project for one of the UK’s leading hospitals.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced

CDM Principal Designer

to join our team, ideally from an

architecture

or

engineering

background. The successful candidate will have a

minimum of 5 years’ experience

and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the

Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 , the

Building Safety Act 2022 , and

Higher-Risk Building (HRB) Regulations . This as site based role at Manchester Royal Infirmary.Key Requirements:Minimum

5 years’ professional experience

in a relevant design or construction disciplineStrong working knowledge of

CDM Regulations 2015

and

Building Safety Act 2022

(including HRB Regulations)NEBOSH

Health and safety management for constructionProven experience acting as

Principal Designer

on complex construction or refurbishment projectsCertified Member of the Association for Project Safety (CMaPS)

or

MCABE

(Chartered Member of CABE)Previous experience working within a hospital or healthcare environment

is essentialStrong communication, coordination, and regulatory compliance skillsAbility to lead design risk management and safety planning during the pre-construction and construction phasesDesirable:Degree in

Architecture ,

Building Services Engineering , or
