Job Purpose: As a Health Physics Consultant, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining radiation protection programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the highest standards of safety. You will monitor and assess radiation exposure, conduct surveys, and provide expert advice on radiological hazards As a Health Physics Consultant, your main responsibilities would be to: Provide expert Radiation Protection advice to ensure compliance with Ionising Radiations Regulations (IRR17), COSHH, and Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR16). Support and review radiation safety advice issued across programmes. Participate in radiological documentation reviews and recommend improvements. Guide on Schedule 4 IRR17 matters, ensuring safety-related advice is appropriately recorded, auditable, and aligned with regulatory requirements. Provide specialist guidance on hazards associated with substances such as beryllium.
