      <description>Location: Southend-on-sea | Salary: 33143.00-33143.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | Your new role Southend City Council are looking to appoint a part-time (22.2hrs) per week Health Practitioner within a 12-month fixed term capacity.The purpose of Public Health is to improve local health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. The post holder will lead in community engagement across the city, as well as providing public health input into the wider community, including school and work-based settings.The post will contribute to the development of community-led activities to support public health improvements for children and young people, through:Helping to engage with community groups.Facilitate development and implementation of public health-related projects;Use evidence-based practice and local intelligence data (e.g. the JSNA) to inform and support community-led initiatives.The position is mostly based around children and young people with a heavy focus on the under 5s.
