Temporary Food Hygiene InspectorIn this role, you will play a key part in protecting public health by delivering a programme of food hygiene, food standards, and health and safety inspections. You will work with a wide range of businesses and stakeholders, providing clear advice, taking proportionate enforcement action, and contributing to safer communities across the borough. Key Responsibilities: Carry out food hygiene and standards inspections in line with the Food Law Code of PracticeInvestigate complaints relating to food safety and health and safety mattersUndertake accident investigations/health and safety complaints and inspectionsDealing with predominantly low-risk inspections and new unrated businessesManage a varied caseload effectivelyCompleted paperwork and associated documentation to be completed and dropped into the office at the end of each week. About You: You will be a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner CIEH EHORB or equivalent and Masters or BSc Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in food inspections.Experienced in enforcement under Health and Safety legislation, and confident in making proportionate decisions.Competent under the Food Law Code of Practice and be able to demonstrate ongoing CPD.Strong communicator, well organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
