This role is part of the LiveLife team, which focusses in three key areas: Cancer Champions; a community engagement programme that aims to raise awareness of cancer signs and symptoms and improve rates of early cancer diagnosis. The project trains volunteers from around the community to understand cancer and be able to have better conversations with their peers about things such as the importance of taking part in cancer screening programmes. Cancer Confidence; a new project to enable individuals and organisations to have supportive and effective conversations with people living with cancer, and to be able to signpost to local support services. LiveLife, our Lingen Davies community health promotion initiative, bringing cancer awareness to communities across the region via public events and partnerships with the public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
