Overview
We are seeking a healthcare assistant to join our night team in providing quality care within our residential care home. We are a lovely small home providing care for up to 16 residents who have a range of different needs. You will be expected to carry out a range of different tasks including:Personal careHelp with toiletingThe administration of medicationCarry out regular checks on residents throughout the nightAssist with food and drinksCarry out some domestic tasksFill out documentation accuratelyShift times are 21:00-8:00. You will need to be able to work alternate weekends. Experience in care is desirable although full training can be provided.
Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation of care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionalsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and colleaguesUtilize IT systems for documentation and information retrievalBe punctual, professional and honestHave working knowledge of the home’s policies and proceduresHave working knowledge of health and safety and COSHH environmental regulations
Skills
Proficient in English to communicate clearly and effectivelyAbility to follow care plans and instructions accuratelyStrong communication skills to interact compassionately with residents
