Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position.Duties
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient''s needs.Monitor and record patients’ health status, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.Maintain cleanliness and organisation in patient areas, ensuring a safe living space.Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate empathy towards patients.Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between care locations.A commitment to ongoing professional development in healthcare practices is encouraged.
