Health Care Assistant

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to work in care and support settings across Wrexham (LL11 and LL14).

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support children with emotional, behavioural and complex needs.
• Support children who may display challenging or aggressive behaviour.
• Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Use appropriate techniques to manage challenging behaviour safely.
• Monitor and report changes in the child''s wellbeing or behaviour.
• Maintain accurate care records.
• Promote the safety, dignity and wellbeing of children at all times.
• Work effectively with the wider care and support team.

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, aggression or complex needs is required.
• Physical Intervention Training is essential.
• Accepted training certificates: MAPA, CPI, NPI, Team-Teach or PRICE.
• Must have relevant challenging behaviour / aggression management or physical intervention training.
• Must be registered with Social Care Wales.
• Must have a valid Enhanced DBS.
• Good communication skills and a caring, professional attitude.
