OverviewCan you make a difference to young people with additional support needs? This position provides health care support to children and young people with complex medical conditions in order to maintain health and support access to the curriculum.
Responsibilities
Deliver tasks to support daily living, which can include tracheotomy care and suction, catheterisation, support for oxygen-dependent children, and the delivery of individualised feeding programmes.
Provide support and guidance to support staff in delivering health-related tasks for specific conditions.
Work closely with school management and external partners to ensure ongoing health needs are met and to inform the delivery of health support plans.
Requirements/Qualifications
Excellent communication and organisational skills and experience of working within an educational or care environment.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme is essential on taking up appointment; candidates will be required to pay for PVG membership or scheme checks where applicable.
