Health and Wellbeing Practitioner - HMP Brixton Location: Brixton Salary: From £27,000 Depending on Experience Vacancy Type: Permanent Are you passionate about helping people make positive changes and build a healthier future? Join us as a Health and Wellbeing Practitioner at HMP Brixton, working full-time (35 hours per week) to deliver vital drug and alcohol recovery support to men in prison. You ll play a key role in helping people address substance misuse, improve their wellbeing and prepare for a positive future beyond prison. What you ll be doing Manage a caseload, completing assessments and developing individual care and recovery plans. Deliver one-to-one interventions, group sessions and structured treatment programmes. Provide harm reduction advice and support to people experiencing drug and alcohol misuse. Work with healthcare professionals and partner agencies to coordinate care and support successful resettlement. Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to service targets and quality standards. Identify risks and safeguarding concerns, helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users.
