Health and Social Care Lecturer

Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Health and Social Care on behalf of a Further Education provider in Derby. This is a full-time temporary opportunity starting on 31st August 2026 and running until 1st March 2027, providing maternity cover within a successful Health and Social Care department. The Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to Health and Social Care students across Levels 2 and 3, supporting learners to achieve their academic goals while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities Deliver Health and Social Care lessons to Level 2 and Level 3 learners. Plan, prepare and assess learning activities in line with curriculum requirements. Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental quality standards. Support students in achieving positive outcomes and progression opportunities. Requirements Degree in a Health and Social Care-related subject. Previous teaching, training or lecturing experience within Further Education, Secondary Education or a similar setting. Ability to engage and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. A clinical background would be highly desirable.
