Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist primary school in Hyde that supports pupils aged 4-11 with complex needs. We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Health & Social Care Graduates who are looking to gain valuable experience supporting children with a range of additional needs in a highly rewarding educational setting.

This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in education, SEND, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology, or healthcare.

As a Health & Social Care Graduate, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to help pupils access learning and develop independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils aged 4-11 with complex learning, physical, communication, and sensory needs
• Assisting with personal care and medical needs where required
• Helping pupils engage in classroom activities through tailored support
• Promoting communication, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing
• Supporting sensory integration and regulation strategies
• Working alongside speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals
• Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Health & Social Care or a related subject
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil
• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
• A willingness to support personal care as part of the role
