Job Title: Health and Safety Risk Assessor (Highways)Location: Winchester, Micheldever and occasionally other various sites across HampshireContract Type: Temporary 6 - months with the possibility to be extendedHours: 20 - 37 hours per week, full-time preferred but part-time will be considered Salary: 23.37 per hourRole Summary As part of this role, the candidate should expect to carry out work within the following areas:Produce detailed risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) in accordance with existing corporate templatesUndertake in-house risk assessor training, and complete RAMS in accordance with themAnalyse and assess civil engineering activities within the highways sector and produce subsequent RAMS which reduce HandS risks to staffWork with operational staff to develop and agree safe working procedures as part of the RAMS development processReview and evaluate effectiveness of RAMS once produced, producing necessary updates as requiredAbility to work efficiently in order to produce detailed but practical RAMS within a short timescaleAs part of this role, the candidate will be required to produce a minimum of 25 RAMS for different operations. Most of these are based on existing RAMS which are in place, but some will have to be created.
