is currently recruiting for a

Health and Safety Officer (Technical)

to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a health and safety environment.

Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to support the Health and Safety Team in maintaining a safe working environment across the Borough by carrying out inspections and recording findings using digital systems.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Carrying out site inspections across council premises and facilities.• Recording inspection outcomes using the SafetyCulture app.• Assisting the Health and Safety Team with compliance monitoring and reporting.• Supporting colleagues in promoting safe working practices and ensuring standards are met.The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:• A recognised health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.• Experience of undertaking workplace/site inspections within a public sector or similar environment.The below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Strong IT literacy, including use of mobile inspection apps or databases.• Good communication and reporting skills.• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering
