Join Our Team as a Health and Safety OfficerAre you a proactive, hands-on safety professional who thrives on the factory floor? We are looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port. In this highly visible role, you will report directly to the General Manager and work alongside the Senior Management Team to drive a robust safety culture and ensure continuous improvement across our operations. The RoleAs our Health and Safety Officer, you won''t just be managing paperwork; you''ll be embedding safety standards into the daily lives of our production teams. Your focus will be on maintaining legal compliance while influencing behaviors to ensure a "safety-first" environment. Key Responsibilities:Compliance and Policy: Lead site compliance with UK legislation and continuously improve HandS policies and risk controls. Risk Management: Maintain a live Risk Register, drive action plans, and manage COSHH controls. On-the-Ground Oversight: Conduct regular site inspections, GMP checks, and audits to support ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001). Incident Response: Investigate accidents and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented. Training and Induction: Deliver HandS inductions for new starters and maintain site training matrices. Safety Culture: Promote a "clean as we go" philosophy and coordinate fire safety and emergency procedures.
