With a strong commitment to providing safe, high-quality homes and services, the organisation continually invests in its people, properties and communities.As part of its ongoing commitment to health, safety and compliance, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Officer to join the Asset Directorate and help ensure the safe delivery of property, maintenance and investment services across a diverse housing stock.Your new role Reporting to the Director of Assets, the Health and Safety Officer will play a key role in supporting health, safety and compliance activities across all functions within the Asset Directorate. This includes planned works, property compliance programmes, repairs and maintenance services, contractor management and activities delivered by the organisation''s Direct Labour Organisation (DLO).Key responsibilities will include: Providing professional health and safety advice and guidance to operational and technical teams. Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety management systems. Assisting with statutory compliance programmes including fire safety, asbestos management, electrical safety and water hygiene.
