Health and Safety Officer

Location: Warrington (Hybrid - Office, Home and Site Based) Salary: Circa £50,000 + 10% Car Allowance + 10% Bonus Benefits: Company Pension, Hybrid Working, Genuine Career Progression The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Health and Safety Officer to join a growing engineering and construction business delivering mechanical and electrical projects across the UK. This role will support projects ranging from small-scale installations through to major schemes valued at over £20m. Significant UK travel is required, spending time on active project sites, supporting operational teams and ensuring high standards of Health and Safety compliance.Reporting to the Contracts Director, with support from the Group Health and Safety Director, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive safety culture as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across UK project sites. Support Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams with practical Health and Safety advice. Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses. Monitor compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures. Support contractor management and CDM compliance activities. Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings. Produce reports and track corrective actions through to completion.
