Health and Safety Officer

Role: Health and Safety Officer Location: Merseyside Type: Temporary rate: 25 - 30 per hour Eden Brown are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Officer to join a Facilities and Estates team on a temporary basis. This key role supports the College in maintaining a safe and compliant learning and working environment for staff, students, and visitors. You''ll play a central part in delivering effective health and safety audits, technical support, and compliance monitoring across all college campuses and departments. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with the College''s Health and Safety policies. Provide technical support and advice on health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and sector best practice. Monitor and maintain accurate records in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, including accident, incident, and near miss reporting. Assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of Health and Safety policies, procedures, and improvement action plans. Carry out departmental inspections across a range of settings including classrooms, workshops, offices, and communal spaces. Support academic divisions with student risk assessments and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs). Coordinate the College''s first aid and fire warden provision.
