Health And Safety Officer

D R Newitt are working with a close client in the food industry who due to growth are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join the business on a permanent basis.

On offer is a salary of -45,000 plus unique company benefits.

You will be joining a highly respected business, specialising in baked goods who are undergoing long-term growth.

Key duties:

• Attend retail outlets and / or factory areas on a regular basis to monitor safety and assist managers in ensuring H&S activities are met and reviewed as necessary.
• Provide support at investigation of all accidents ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and corrective actions are undertaken by appropriate management to agreed timescales.
• Co-ordinate and conduct on-site Health & Safety training
• In conjunction with senior management review of H&S policies, procedures, targets and objectives.

Candidate requirements:

• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a hands on and proactive approach.
• Resilient and able to follow tasks through to completion.
• Able to effectively influence to increase awareness and knowledge of Health & Safety and develop safety culture.
• True passion for Health & Safety and a genuine desire to make a difference.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks, manage time effectively and to work to a high standard in a fast-paced environment.
