Job Title: Health and Safety OfficerLocation: Leicester (with regular travel to multiple UK sites on a weekly basis)Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) Role Overview We are working on behalf of our client who are seeking a proactive and hands-on Health and Safety Officer to support and drive safe working practices across their business and multiple client sites. This is a field-based, operational role requiring a "doer" mindset rather than a strategic manager. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day health and safety compliance, ensuring legal obligations are met while actively improving site safety standards through regular inspections, audits, and engagement with teams. Frequent weekly travel to various sites is essential. Key ResponsibilitiesHealth and Safety CompliancePrepare and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe working practices both internally and on customer sitesEnsure all activities comply with current health and safety legislation and best practiceContinuously assess company working practices and implement improvements where necessarySite Inspections and AuditsConduct regular site inspections and audits across multiple locationsCarry out weekly inspections at Leicester and Stone facilities and report on findingsConduct inspections of installation sites on a weekly basisIdentify hazards, provide practical solutions, and follow up on corrective actionsDevelop and maintain an inspection and audit ..... full job details .....
