Health and Safety Manager Home based with travel across the Midlands and Hertfordshire Salary circa 65,000 plus package We are recruiting a highly proactive, experienced Health and Safety Manager for a small, hands-on construction business. This is a role for someone who takes full ownership, drives improvements, and ensures standards are consistently high. This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position. The right candidate will be self-driven, solutions focused, and capable of leading Health and Safety initiatives across multiple sites. Role Overview: Full ownership of the internal Health and Safety function, including management systems, safe systems of work, and risk assessments. Conduct site inspections, audits, and reviews of RAMS to ensure compliance and best practice. Review, create, and continually improve risk assessments and standard operating procedures. Provide practical and strategic Health and Safety advice to senior management and site teams. Shape and influence the overall safety culture across the business, ensuring Health and Safety is integrated into all operations. Collaborate with external consultants where necessary, while retaining overall internal control of safety standards.
