The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a well-established manufacturing and processing organisation operating within a highly regulated, high-hazard environment. This is a key site-based leadership role, responsible for driving a positive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting operational teams to achieve high standards of health, safety and process safety performance. The successful candidate will become a member of the Site Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in influencing stakeholders across the business, promoting best practice and ensuring Health and Safety remains at the forefront of operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead all Health and Safety activities across a large operational manufacturing site. Provide expert Health and Safety guidance to site leadership, managers and employees. Support and mentor Health and Safety team members on a day-to-day basis. Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to legal and internal standards. Lead incident investigations and ensure robust corrective and preventative actions are implemented. Develop, review and maintain Health and Safety procedures, policies and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulatory requirements. Support emergency preparedness activities, including response planning and emergency exercises.
