Health and Safety ManagerPortsmouth 50,000 - 60,000We''re working with an established engineering business in Portsmouth that is looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to take ownership of health and safety across the business.This is a hands-on role where you''ll work closely with operational and engineering teams to maintain high standards, improve processes and ensure the business remains compliant with relevant legislation.The RoleYou''ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the company''s Health and Safety function, working across engineering and operational environments.Key responsibilities will include:Managing and developing the company''s Health and Safety policies, procedures and systemsEnsuring compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation and industry standardsCarrying out risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigationsIdentifying areas for improvement and implementing practical HandS initiativesWorking closely with engineering, production and operational teams to promote a strong safety cultureInvestigating incidents, near misses and accidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implementedDelivering or coordinating Health and Safety training and toolbox talksMonitoring HandS performance and producing relevant reports and recommendationsSupporting the business with environmental and compliance requirements where requiredAbout YouWe''re looking for an experienced Health and Safety professional who ..... full job details .....
