Health and Safety Manager

Health and Safety Manager Portsmouth £50,000 - £60,000 We''re working with an established engineering business in Portsmouth that is looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to take ownership of health and safety across the business. This is a hands-on role where you''ll work closely with operational and engineering teams to maintain high standards, improve processes and ensure the business remains compliant with relevant legislation. The Role You''ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the company''s Health and Safety function, working across engineering and operational environments. Key responsibilities will include: Managing and developing the company''s Health and Safety policies, procedures and systems Ensuring compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation and industry standards Carrying out risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations Identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical HandS initiatives Working closely with engineering, production and operational teams to promote a strong safety culture Investigating incidents, near misses and accidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented Delivering or coordinating Health and Safety training and toolbox talks Monitoring HandS performance and producing relevant reports and recommendations Supporting the business with environmental and compliance requirements where required About You We''re looking for an ..... full job details .....
