Health and Safety Manager

Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional looking for an opportunity to lead and develop health and safety across a large, multi-campus organisation? We re looking for a Health and Safety Manager to lead the strategic development and operational delivery of our Health and Safety framework across New College Swindon. You ll play a key role in embedding a strong culture of safety, ensuring legislative compliance and supporting staff, students and visitors across all College campuses. What you''ll do Lead the development and continuous improvement of the College s Health and Safety framework, policies and procedures. Provide expert advice to Senior Leaders, managers and staff on Health and Safety legislation, risk and compliance. Lead on risk assessments, audits, inspections, investigations and improvement plans. Manage fire safety, emergency procedures, educational visits and work experience Health and Safety. Oversee accident, incident and near-miss reporting, including RIDDOR where required. Develop and deliver Health and Safety training and CPD across the College. Act as Educational Visits Coordinator and Designated Substance Misuse Officer. Lead on asbestos management and support the management of water, electrical and other statutory compliance areas. Provide regular Health and Safety reports and briefings to Senior Leadership, Governors and the Health and Safety Committee.
