The Company:-

As our Safety-& Compliance-Manager, you will-be responsible for-the management and monitoring of-Health & Safety systems,-procedures-and safe systems of work-at site-level.-You''ll-be responsible for-maintaining-compliance with Viridor-management systems and-support-compliance with environmental permits or licenses.

Implementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality led environment with safety at its core,-you''ll-actively-monitor,-maintain-and manage health and safety risks assessments, SSOW and method statements to ensure best practice and prevention-of-incidents and accidents.-

Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team, you''ll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no compromise approach with regards to health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.

What are we looking for?-

  • A-hands-on-safety professional-with experience in industrial settings.-Experience-of an energy-from waste facility would be-advantageous-and preferable-
  • Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance focused environment-
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and develop a new-team in a start-up scenario-with a no compromise approach to-health, safety compliance.-Able to work with the Management Team to embed-a safety and compliance focused culture-within a complex workplace-
  • Experience-of permitted/regulated activities and processes, preferably within controlled emissions environment-
  • Worked within industrial manufacturing or similar
  • Knowledge of the energy from waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledge- (ideal)
  • IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification (or equivalent)-
  • Awareness of the relevant management standards-ISO-45001,-ISO14001, ISO 9001-and ISO50001-
  • Full-UK-driving license
