Irwin and Colton are proud to be partnering with a market-leading contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. With an outstanding reputation across the UK, this organisation delivers some of the country''s most complex and high-profile projects.

The business has enjoyed sustained growth over the past 30 years and continues to secure major projects with many of the UK''s leading contractors and developers. With a turnover of circa 300 million, health and safety sits at the heart of everything they do, and they are now looking to strengthen their leadership team with an experienced Health and Safety Manager who can help drive standards across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

• Providing strategic and operational health and safety support across a portfolio of major construction projects
• Leading, mentoring and developing members of the Health and Safety team while helping to build a positive and proactive safety culture
• Monitoring health and safety performance, analysing trends and presenting meaningful reports and recommendations to senior management
• Building strong relationships with clients, operational teams and stakeholders to promote best practice across the business

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Experience in a similar health and safety role within structural engineering, civil engineering, infrastructure or another high-risk construction environment
• A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate as a minimum. Higher level qualifications and membership of IOSH are advantageous
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
