Health & Safety Representative (HSE)
Location: Odense, Denmark (5220 / Region Syddanmark)
Contract: 9 Months
Start Date: December / January
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Payroll: Fully managed via WorkWell Global (Employer of Record)
Rate & Package
- Gross Day Rate: 5,725 DKK
- Gross Weekly Income: 22,900 DKK based on a 40-hour / 5-day week
- Estimated Weekly Net Pay: 14,115.62 DKK after applicable income tax, AM-bidrag and ATP deductions
- Holiday Pay: 3,037.50 DKK per week allocated to the mandatory Danish holiday pay account (Feriepenge)
- Payroll, Tax & Compliance: Fully managed locally through WorkWell Global
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Representative (HSE) to support a major 9-month engineering and automation project in Odense, Denmark.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional with strong knowledge of Danish health and safety requirements to play a key role in maintaining high standards across the project.
You will support day-to-day site safety, ensure compliance with applicable legislation, complete and review risk assessments, and act as a key point of contact for health and safety matters throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day health and safety activities on site.
- Ensure compliance with Danish health and safety legislation and site requirements.
- Complete, review and maintain risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and support the implementation of appropriate control measures.
- Act as a key point of contact for HSE matters across the project.
- Support site teams in maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Assist with safety inspections, audits and relevant documentation.
- Provide practical HSE guidance to project and site personnel.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as an HSE Representative, HSE Officer, HSE Coordinator or similar.
- Experience within engineering, automation, logistics, construction or a comparable environment.
- Strong knowledge of Danish health and safety legislation and site requirements.
- Completion of the Danish Occupational Health & Safety / OSH Coordinator training (Arbejdsmiljøuddannelse) or an equivalent recognised qualification such as NEBOSH.
- Current residence in Denmark.
- Full legal working rights in Denmark.
- Danish nationality and fluent Danish and English language skills.
