Health and Safety Manager

Working for an established and successful national Wholesaler/Distributor of ventilation and refrigeration equipment, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in creating a safe, compliant and proactive working environment across 40 branches throughout the UK and Ireland, with significant national travel required during the first 6 months and regular travel thereafter.DUTIES:Develop and continuously improve Health and Safety systems, policies and practicesConduct regular audits and inspections, monitor performance and drive corrective actionsLiaise with external HandS consultants, regulatory bodies and internal teamsChair Health and Safety Committee meetings, support HandS Representatives and deliver trainingEmbed a robust HandS governance framework and drive improvements in safety culture and complianceBENEFITS:Salary up to 60,000 per annum, depending on experienceCompany car or car allowance25 days holiday, increasing to 30 days after 5 yearsPension scheme, life assurance and Employee Assistance ProgrammeBike to Work scheme and the opportunity to shape HandS across a national branch networkEXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience designing and delivering an HandS framework across a multi-site, national operationFull NEBOSH Diploma or equivalentStrong knowledge of UK and Irish Health and Safety legislationExcellent communication, influencing, stakeholder ..... full job details .....
