Health and Safety Manager

An experienced Health and Safety Manager is required to lead and manage all safety, health and wellbeing activities on a major nuclear and civil infrastructure project in Whitehaven. The role focuses on ensuring full compliance with UK legislation, nuclear site requirements and project safety standards within a highly regulated environment.Who This Role Would SuitThis role would suit an experienced Health and Safety professional who thrives in complex, safety-critical environments such as nuclear, infrastructure or major construction projects. It would particularly appeal to someone confident working with senior stakeholders, managing subcontractors and promoting a proactive safety culture while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and continuous improvement of the project Health and Safety Management System.Provide expert safety advice to the Project Director and senior leadership team.Conduct site inspections, audits and assurance activities to ensure full compliance.Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.Review and monitor RAMS, construction safety documentation and high-risk activities on site.Requirements. Proven experience in Senior Health and Safety positions.Previous experience on Nuclear related projects.NEBOSH certifiedCMIOSH highly desirableLead Auditor certified desirable Location: Whitehaven Permanent: Full Time, 40 hrs Salary: circa 71k (dependent on experience) + ..... full job details .....
