Health and Safety Manager

Our client, a manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager. We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to represent the business in a positive manner whilst ensuring compliance across multiple sites.
The successful manager must have hands on experience within a manufacturing and or construction, driving CI and implementing RAMS.
As the main on-site point of contact for health, safety, and quality matters, you’ll ensure compliance with relevant regulations and drive continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with project teams to review RAMS, investigate incidents, and manage non-conformances aligned with ISO 9001 quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions
• Represent the company on-site for all health, safety, and quality-related issues
• Promote a strong safety culture through active engagement with site teams and clients
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on-site coaching where needed
• Identify, log, and assist in resolving Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, investigations, and compliance actions
• Conduct regular site inspections across various construction and installation projects nationwide
• Review and advise on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for current and upcoming works
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• NEBOSH
• Valid CSCS Card
• UK driving licence
• Proven experience in construction or industrial installation environments
• Confident working independently and professionally representing the company on-site
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays
