Health and Safety Manager - BESS and Substation Project Caerphilly, South Wales 300- 500 per day (DOE) paid CIS / LTD Long-Term Freelance Contract BMSL Group are recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join an internationally recognised EPC contractor delivering complex energy, industrial and infrastructure projects across Europe and the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Substation project, playing a pivotal role in the safe delivery of critical energy infrastructure as the UK''s power network continues to expand and modernise. Working alongside project leadership, construction teams and specialist subcontractors, you will lead all site health and safety activities, driving a positive safety culture and ensuring industry-leading standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all health and safety activities across the project. Champion a proactive, behavioural-based safety culture throughout the workforce. Ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations and project-specific requirements. Conduct site inspections, audits and safety reviews, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Review and approve Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permit-to-Work systems. Support construction teams during high-risk activities including electrical installation, civil engineering works, lifting operations and commissioning. ..... full job details .....
