Health and Safety Manager Location: Surrey Job Type: Permanent A well-established construction-related business in Surrey is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join the team as part of a planned succession strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has either transitioned from a hands-on construction role into Health and Safety or is now looking to take that next step in their career.The successful candidate will work closely with the current Health and Safety Manager, receiving comprehensive training and support before ultimately taking over the position. The aim is for the successful candidate to assume full responsibility for the role by the end of this year, or sooner, depending on experience and development.Key Responsibilities Manage and develop the company''s Health and Safety function.Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks.Review, monitor and inspect Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Ensure safe working practices are implemented and maintained across all projects.Identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions.Provide support and guidance to site teams, supervisors and management.Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing reports and recommendations.Deliver toolbox talks and contribute to Health and Safety training initiatives.Maintain accurate Health and Safety documentation and records.Keep up to date with relevant legislation and industry best practice.
