Health and Safety Manager - Freelance or Permanent An experienced Health and Safety professional is required on site for a large, complex industrial construction project based in Royston. This is a live construction environment within a petrochemical and industrial facility. Experience in a similar environment would be useful.The RoleAct as the on-site Health and Safety lead, supporting the construction phase of the projectReport into senior project leadership and the wider project delivery teamProvide day-to-day HandS oversight across mechanical and electrical worksEnsure compliance with site rules, permits, inspections, and testing regimesWork closely with the QA team, with a solid working knowledge of QA processes and requirementsKey ResponsibilitiesManaging and advising on all Health and Safety matters on siteOverseeing electrical permit systems and ensuring safe systems of workMonitoring mechanical works, which form the bulk of the scopeCarrying out inspections and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)Supporting risk assessments, method statements, and compliance auditsEnsuring high standards are maintained in a high-risk environmenRequirementsProven background as a Health and Safety Advisor or Health and Safety ManagerPrevious experience on petrochemical, oil and gas, or similar high-risk industrial sitesStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical construction activitiesExperience managing electrical permitsDemonstrable experience with inspections and test ..... full job details .....
