Health and Safety Director (Construction)

GBR Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be exclusively working with a leading new build housing construction business recruiting for a principal HandS expert in the form of a HandS Director. In this board level role, you will drive and roll out the HandS strategy across the whole operation, create and implement HandS policies / procedures, be the key contact for 3rd party organisations and authorities, lead compliance and risk mitigation, develop HandS training delivery methods, plus continuously look to improve the Health and Safety services. As the Health and Safety Director, you will have a Diploma in Health and Safety (or Degree), a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and be CMIOSH qualified. You will have HandS Director level experience of Group HandS Manager or similar. The team beneath you will be a team of x5 HandS professionals supporting wider areas. Duties: Create, develop and deliver the HandS strategy working as the principal HandS subject matter expert offering guidance to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors. Strategic leadership and professional direction for all Health and Safety control measures across the whole of the operation. Monitoring of compliance ensuring legislation is adhered to at all times, along with the development and continual improvement of the companies Health and Safety management systems, standards and culture.
