Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Chadderton, Greater Manchester - multi-site travel required (Oldham and Wigan)Hours: Full-Time Office HoursSalary: 32,000 - 34,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to oversee and enhance health and safety practices across our warehouse operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting operational teams across two key sites in Oldham and Wigan. Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact for all health and safety mattersDeliver training and inductions for new and existing employeesLead and support investigations into accidents and incidentsMaintain accurate records, compliance registers, and corrective action logsConduct scheduled risk assessments, inspections, and auditsCoordinate safety initiatives across departments and locationsLiaise with suppliers, contractors, and facilities teamsSupport external audits and accreditation processes (e.g. ISO45001)Manage routine safety systems including PPE stock checks and permit-to-work proceduresStandardise documentation and reporting across sites Candidate ProfileNEBOSH certification is essentialStrong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, Fire Regulations, etc.)Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teamsOrganised, proactive, and ..... full job details .....
