Health and Safety Compliance Lead

New College Worcester is a national residential school and college for children and young people aged 11 to 19 who are blind or vision impaired. Set in extensive grounds overlooking the Malvern Hills, NCW is a unique and rewarding place to work, making a difference to the lives of young people with a vision impairment. We are looking for a Health and Safety Education Compliance Lead to make sure the College meets all its legal, statutory and regulatory obligations across our educational and residential provision. Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, managers, governors and external agencies, you will champion a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement - spanning health and safety, safeguarding, policy management, risk and inspection readiness. Your day to day duties will include Acting as the College''s operational lead for health and safety - inspections, audits, risk assessments, accident and incident investigation (including RIDDOR) and statutory testing. Managing a rolling programme of policy reviews, keeping every policy compliant, current and communicated to staff, parents and students. Identifying, monitoring and reporting on compliance risks across the College (Single Central Record, GDPR, health and safety, safeguarding), advising SLT and reporting to Governors.
