Health and Safety Assistant

A client of ours in the Haverhill area is recruiting a Health and Safety Assistant to join their team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, working either part-time or full-time depending on the candidate, and paying between 15.00 and 20.00 per hour, depending on experience.Your key duties in this Health and Safety Assistant role will include but are not limited to:Maintaining and updating health and safety records, policies, procedures and documentationAssisting with the completion and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)Monitoring staff training, certification records and compliance requirementsConducting workplace inspections and assisting with internal auditsMonitoring corrective actions and ensuring these are followed up and completedLiaising with managers, employees and external contractors regarding health and safety mattersAssisting with ensuring compliance with current UK health and safety legislation and company policiesProviding general administrative, document management and reporting support relating to health and safetySkills and experience required to be considered for this role:Previous experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within an engineering or construction environmentGood knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirementsStrong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detailConfident communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levelsCompetent IT ..... full job details .....
