Health and Safety Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Assistant to join a growing organisation and develop their career within Health and Safety. Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager, you will support the delivery of health and safety across multiple sites, helping to promote a strong and proactive safety culture. The Role Support the development and promotion of a positive health and safety culture across multiple sites. Carry out site audits and assessments, identifying concerns and reporting them to the Health and Safety Manager. Deliver toolbox talks and assist with communicating health and safety policies and procedures. Monitor PPE compliance and maintain accurate records. Assist with reducing workplace accidents, injuries and occupational health risks. Complete and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented. Maintain COSHH records and ensure relevant information, instruction and training is provided to employees. Maintain the non-compliance register and ensure actions are followed through. Assist with accident investigations and contribute to preventative measures. Support fire safety procedures, including fire drills and alarm testing. Contribute to ongoing health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide general support to the Health and Safety function as required.
