Health And Safety Advisor

We Build Recruitment are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of our client, a fast growing company in the UK power industry. This role is ideal for someone looking to transition into the power industry, particularly candidates with some electrical experience or exposure. You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring adherence to health and safety legislation, and supporting continuous improvement across sites. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures Produce detailed audit reports and follow up on corrective actions Develop, deliver, and continuously improve toolbox talks and safety briefings Support site teams in understanding and applying health and safety best practices Assist in the development and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and produce reports with recommendations Monitor and report on HandS performance metrics and KPIs Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure consistent safety standards Stay up to date with relevant legislation and industry developments Skills and Experience Essential: Experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction industry Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (e.g., CDM ..... full job details .....
