Health and Safety Advisor

The organisation is open to an experienced Health and Safety professional or someone with hands-on utilities experience who is looking to build a career in Health and Safety. For an aspiring Advisor, you’ll receive the training, support and exposure needed to develop into the position.
Operating across sites in Lancashire, Cumbria and Greater Manchester, you’ll manage your own schedule between site visits, home working and supporting local offices throughout the region.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing practical Health and Safety guidance across multiple sites
- Working closely with operational teams and managers to improve standards
- Carrying out audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Supporting incident investigations and the implementation of preventative measures
- Contributing to regional Health and Safety initiatives
- Promoting a positive and consistent safety culture across the business
They are open to candidates from either of the following backgrounds:
- Health and Safety experience within utilities, telecommunications, construction, civil engineering, highways or a similar environment
Or:
- Hands-on operational experience within the utilities sector and a genuine ambition to move into Health and Safety
- A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate would be beneficial, although support and funding can be provided towards relevant qualifications
- A willingness to learn and progress within Health and Safety
What’s on offer:
- Salary of £45,000 to £50,000
